StdTrip: An a priori design process for publishing Linked Data∗

چکیده
The Linked Data standard — which is based on the publication of data in the Web as RDF triples — is gaining increasing attention as a way to promote open data interoperability. The publication of data originally stored in relational databases as RDF is known as the RDB-to-RDF approach. The first step in this process requires the mapping of database concepts to RDF vocabularies, used as the base for generating the RDF triples. The selection of such vocabularies is extremely important, because the more standards are reused, the easier it will be to interlink the resulting datasets to other previously published. However, the tools available today, instead of providing adequate support for reuse of standard vocabularies, reinforce the creation of new ones. In our work, we present the StdTrip process, which provides general guidelines for performing the mapping phasis of the RDB-to-RDF approach, promoting the reuse of standard RDF vocabularies.

StdTrip+K: Design Rationale in the RDB-to-RDF Process
The design rationale behind the triplification of a relational database is a valuable information source, especially for the process of interlinking published triplesets. Indeed, studies show that the arbitrary use of the owl:sameAs property, without carrying context information regarding the triplesets to be linked, has jeopardized the reuse of the triplesets. This article therefore proposes t...
متن کاملStdTrip: An a Priori Design Approach and Process for Publishing Open Government Data
Open Government Data (OGD) consists in the publication of public information data in formats that allow it to be shared, discovered, accessed and easily manipulated by those desiring the data. This approach requires the triplification of datasets, i.e., the conversion to RDF of database schemas and their instances. A key issue in this process is deciding how to represent database schema concept...
متن کاملOntology Design Patterns for Linked Data Publishing
In Chapter 1 [17], we have given a worked example on how to develop a modular ontology using ontology design patterns. In the following, we will work through an example process how to use such an ontology for publishing Linked Data. Supplementary material, such as additional examples, OWL, and RDF files, are available at http://dase.cs.wright.edu/content/pattern-driven-linked-data-publishing-pr...

A type of novel hypercross-linked fiber adsorbent was obtained by sulfonation and cross-linking reaction of polypropylene fiber grafted styrene-divinylbenzene. The aim of the fiber sulfonation and cross-linking method was to prepare rigid three dimensional networks in the entire fiber and change the ion exchange capacity of fiber. The hypercross-linked fiber adsorbent possesses a principall...

Data collection and storage has been facilitated by the growth in electronic services, and has led to recording vast amounts of personal information in public and private organizations databases. These records often include sensitive personal information (such as income and diseases) and must be covered from others access. But in some cases, mining the data and extraction of knowledge from thes...
